At RMCD, we provide evaluations for the diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Our evaluation process is tailored to the needs of the individual, but typically includes a diagnostic interview, cognitive evaluation using the most current and valid instruments, in-vivo assessment of attention, hyperactivity, and vigilance using the Quotient Diagnostic System, symptom assessment through measures completed by parents, teachers, and student, and neuropsychological assessments of executive function skills. When there are more extensive concerns, or the exact nature of a child’s learning issues is less clear, we offer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations that also include assessment of cognitive skills using the most current and valid instruments, screening of social emotional concerns, and thorough evaluation of all areas of academic functioning. Through an initial screening phone call or during our initial meeting, we will work with you to clarify the best approach to answer your unique learning concerns. We pride ourselves in presenting families and other treatment providers with reports that include a thorough review of diagnostic issues, conceptual formulation, and extensive treatment strategies to support functioning in home and school environments. We are available to provide ongoing support following the assessment process through therapy, advocacy, and consultation, as warranted.
