Rocky Mountain Center for Development is excited to offer “Girl Power”, a group for middle school aged girls. This psychotherapy group focuses on helping girls handle stressors and celebrate their unique selves! Thegroup focuses on building self-confidence, improving communication, exploring body image, and developing positive peer relationships. Through engaging games, activities, and creative expression, girls will gain valuable life skills to help them move through the teen years.
Summer sessions meet twice weekly for 90 minutes each session over three weeks and are facilitated by a licensed mental health professional. Total cost for the program is $360. Registration is limited to ten girls per group. We have two summer group sessions, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Session 1: begins Tuesday June 11 and ends Thursday June 27 for a total of six sessions. 9 to 10:30am for girls entering grades 5 and 6, and 11am to 12:30pm for girls entering grades 7 and 8.
Session 2: begins Tuesday July 9 through Thursday July 25 for a total of six sessions. 9 to 10:30am for girls entering grades 5 and 6, and 11am to 12:30pm for girls entering grades 7 and 8.
If you are interested but unable to make this time, please call the office to have your name put on a waiting list. We will open other groups as we are able and will accommodate schedules to the extent possible, so please let us know.
